מודל האו"ם

In the coming year, our MUN Club will become the Yachad MUN/Debate Club.  We are combining the two because we anticipate that many of the same students will participate in the two and the skills overlap.  Sean Yona and Chai Margalit, our MUN Club Presidents will be running the MUN-focused meetings on Sundays, and Natalie will be running the Debate-focused meetings on a different day of the week, probably Tuesdays.  Hopefully this will allow for more of you to participate in meetings.

While most students have been taking advantage of the summer to sleep late and go to the beach, some members of our club have participated in MUN and debate activities over the vacation.

Sean Yona attended a week-long intensive Debate Camp.

Amit Davidovich visited the Slovenian Embassy.

Chai Margalit and Amit Davidovich attended a protest in Tel Aviv. (Although our club is not political, we encourage students to be active in standing up for their beliefs.)

Benjamin Chelsky, Tal Tzipori, and Amit Davidovich attended a meeting at the US Embassy on the topics of refugees and LGBT rights.

Amit attended the Jerusalem Peacebuilders camp in Connecticut.  Here she is at the UN in New York.
